2009 A huge success!
The 9th Annual Mahler Food Drive (MFD) was a success thanks to you! It was a brisk Saturday, but that didn't stop the kids from bouncing, everyone getting tattoos, and the band sounding better than ever! All proceeds from the event are going to the "Backpack" program, at the Idaho Foodbank, that provides food children can prepare themselves over a weekend. Please be sure to wpread the word to your family and friends and let's make the 10th Annual MFD the best yet!

Priceless Dinner Party Menu ~ Sunday, July 19th
Sunday, May 3, 2009
Date for 2009 has been set!
Our 9th Annual Food Drive will be on Saturday, October 10th!
New at this year's Food Drive is a great way to further show your support to the Idaho Foodbank by painting a ceramic bowl to donate to the annual Empty Bowls event in November. We'll have the expertise of neighbor, Stephanie Barton, here at our October Food Drive to help us properly apply glaze to the bowls. She will then fire the bowls in her kiln and we'll donate them to the Idaho Foodbank in November. Bowls are $12.50 each with $10.00 from every bowl being donated directly to the Idaho Foodbank ($2.50 for Steph's glaze cost and electric bill)! Bowls must be pre-ordered so just shout out under the "comments" section on this page with your name and the number of bowls you and your family would like to paint and we'll do the rest. Of course we'll have all the favorite events here too, Tattoo Temptations, Diamond Rentals Bounce House, prize drawings, the Harvest Howlers and more!

OUR FAVORITE QUOTE
The motto for our annual event was made famous by the very talented Carol Burnett. I grew up watching Carol Burnett on television and always thought of her as kind, genuine, caring, and funny. These are all qualities I strive to emulate in every aspect of my life. When Ron and I first began this food drive it was a spontaneous moment of taking time to reflect on the multitude of blessings in our lives. All of you are a blessing. Your generous participation for our Eighth Annual Mahler Family Food Drive met goals beyond our wildest expectations! One of the reasons it took so long to get the letter out this year is because the donation just kept coming in! As the very talented lady said,
“I think we're here for each other.”
Carol Burnett quotes (American comedian, actress, singer and dancer, b.1936)
Thanks for being there year after year for us in our goal to help others.

Why Do A Food Drive?
A few years back we were getting ready to celebrate my birthday and I had a moment of clarity about my life. I realized how fortunate I am to have my family and friends, and a relatively comfortable life. Although we work hard to have that, ultimately we are very blessed. By involving YOU, our goal in continuing this Food Drive every year is to "give back." I remember a concept a few years back called "Paying It Forward." Maybe you could say we are paying it forward or paying it back. Whatever you call it, when you have something you can share, we believe you should. Thank you for helping us "Work to End Hunger." – Teri & Family
